Emma’s Birthweek celebrations have come to a close. It would be inaccurate to just call it a birthday, since the activities included several parties, dinners, gifts on three occasions, etc.
Emma lost (or actually pulled out) another tooth today. She decided to write a letter to the Tooth Fairy to get to the bottom of some of her questions. Here are her exact words (and spelling):
Dear tooth Farey. What do you do whith all the teeth?
Are you a really farey?
Are you big?
What do you look like?
Are you a bears fan?
by Emma Meyer
p.s. Do you have a boyfriend?
p.p.s. What is your naem?
p.p.p.s. Ples sin back
p.p.p.p.s. How do you geat to all the houesis in tim?
We’ll let you know if she gets a response.
Bears lost. Argh!!
We did have a nice time at the party though. Here is a photo of the family all decked out for the big game. Even Olivia can say “go Bears!”
The food was awesome. James made an excellent Chili. Check out his ilovefood page for the recipe. Mmmmmm goood.
To feel closer to the Oregon Fronza’s, we set up a web video conference during the game. In this photo, you can see the small computer next to the TV, which had a live feed of Jon’s living room, so we could watch and hear their reactions to the game, and they could watch our living room as well. It was fun to do, but as James remarked, “we are a very geeky family.”
Bear down, Chicago Bears,
make every play clear the way to victory;
Bear down, Chicago Bears,
put up a fight with a might so fearlessly.
We’ll never forget the way you thrilled the nation
with your T-formation.
Bear down, Chicago Bears,
and let them know why you’re wearing the crown.
You’re the pride and joy of Illinois,
Chicago Bears, bear down.
To really enjoy the music, you need to hear it as a polka! (Might take a minute to load)
