We know, we know. It has been too long since we last posted to our website. So we decided to go big, and had a baby just for this occasion.
Welcome Lauren Kay Meyer! She arrived yesterday, October 8, 2007, at 6:07pm. She was 8 lbs 13 ounces. The biggest one yet.
Jenny did great. As most people know, Jenny’s deliveries are miserable (at least from my perspective in the bleacher seats). For this one, we actually went to the hospital, because Jenny thought she was leaking ambiotic fluid. We arrived around 9am. It turns out she wasn’t leaking. So technically, she wasn’t in labor when we arrived. Yet, she must have known something. Because while we were waiting for tests, her serious contractions started (she had been having contractions for weeks, but just not strong or consistent). Before we knew it, her contractions were getting very strong.
She started to push around 5:45, and just 20 minutes later, pop, Lauren was here. Yep, “pop.” That was it. Easy huh?
Lauren looks like Olivia, except for the darker hair.
